Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukum Yayasan Pendidikan Merangin ( STIH YPM ) turun ke jalan melakukan aksi peduli kemanusiaan korban bencana alam Banjir di Kalimantan Selatan, dan Gempa Bumi di Sulawesi Barat, Kamis, 21 januari 2021
Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukum Yayasan Pendidikan Merangin ( STIH YPM )
Bohri selaku Sekretaris Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa mengatakan, kegiatan aksi peduli bencana ini bertujuan sebagai bentuk peran mahasiswa menyikapi kepedulian kepada warga yang sedang dilanda bencana di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia.
“Dengan aksi ini teman-teman mahasiswa menjadikan sebuah pembelajaran sebagai bentuk pemahaman sosial dan sadar akan tanggung jawab kita sebagai mahasiswa,” ujarnya.
Ali Prawinata, selaku Kordinator Lapangan dalam aksi peduli tersebut menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk menunjukkan rasa kepedulian sesama manusia, karena kita sebagai makhluk sosial saling membutuhkan satu sama lain.
Sementara itu, salah satu peserta kegiatan, Prengky pransisko, menyampaikan bahwa aksi ini merupakan salah satu ajang aktualisasi di mana mahasiswa tidak hanya belajar tentang keilmuan, akan tetapi seorang mahasiswa juga diharapkan peka terhadap keadaan sekitar.
“Terutama di saat lingkungan sekitar kita sedang mengalami musibah,” ujarnya.
“Kami Berterima kasih kepada masyarakat kabupaten Merangin yang sudah memberikan dan menyumbangkan rezekinya semoga jadi amal soleh untuk kita semua.
